Tunable White Ready

Adjust the light from warm white to cool white (daylight) thanks to compatibility with DALI Type 8 (DT8) drivers.

With Dynamic Color Recipes, brightness and colour temperature can follow the time of day automatically for circadian lighting. Recipe graphs use configurable support points, including fixed, sunrise, and sunset times, and are assigned per room through the Room Light Control.

  • Tc (colour temperature in Kelvin), XY, and RGBWAF colour types
  • Smooth transitions with per-graph fade time
  • Assign a recipe graph to each Room Light Control
  • Configured directly from the web interface graph editor

Colour Control

Control colour DALI luminaires with full support for DALI Type 8 (DT8) drivers. Set colours by individual lamp, group, or channel, then store and recall them as scenes.

  • RGBWAF, XY chromaticity, and Tc colour temperature colour types
  • Create, store, and recall colour scenes
  • Control from the web interface, BACnet, DALI-2 buttons, DMX512, Modbus, and more

DALI-2 Input Devices

Integrate DALI-2 control devices directly on the bus, with up to 32 input devices per DALI channel. Inputs can drive lamps, Room Light Control, recall scenes, trigger commanders, and more.

  • Push buttons (IEC 62386-301)

Room Light Control

DALION delivers standards-based automatic room lighting from occupancy and light sensors, running occupied, unoccupied, and warning commands with configurable hold, ignore, and warning times.

  • Occupancy: one or more sensors trigger occupied, warning, and unoccupied commands
  • Daylight harvesting: automatic compensation toward occupied and unoccupied setpoints
  • Day / night mode: automatic behaviour switching with a night-mode override timeout
  • Multiple lighting zones: balance an interior zone against a window zone within one control
  • Demand response: configurable light-level limiting for energy events
  • Shareable profiles: named parameter sets reused across rooms
  • Linked occupancy: an occupied room can keep adjacent rooms lit or dimmed for comfort and safety
  • Dynamic Color Recipes: time-based, circadian brightness and colour transitions, with also support for complete RGB
  • Control presets: preconfigured occupancy and daylight presets, fully adjustable
  • Walk-test mode: temporary shortened timers for fast commissioning and verification

Daylight Harvesting

Daylight harvesting uses available daylight to offset the artificial light needed to properly illuminate a room. As natural light changes, DALION continuously dims the artificial lighting to hold a target illuminance, reducing energy use while keeping a consistent light level.

  • Separate occupied and unoccupied illuminance setpoints
  • Closed-loop control from a DALI-2 light sensor
  • Multiple lighting zones to balance interior and window-side lamps
  • Automatically pauses for manual overrides and Dynamic Color Recipes

Schedules

Schedules automatically execute commands according to user-defined programming, supporting both fixed time-based events and astronomical time clock events based on sunrise and sunset.

  • Weekly programming with multiple events per day
  • Astronomical sunrise and sunset events, with a configurable offset
  • Earliest and latest boundary times to keep events within a window
  • Drive groups, channels, scenes, and commanders, or switch the day/night mode of a room

Commanders

Commanders run a sequence of commands that can execute once, a set number of times, or until manually stopped. Each step can include a fade time and a delay, so complex lighting sequences run automatically from a single trigger.

  • Set light intensity or colour for a group or channel
  • Send commands such as recall scene or recall min level
  • Enable or disable DALI-2 sensors, buttons, and schedules
  • Send commands to a Room Light Control, or start and stop other commanders
  • Trigger from a schedule, DALI-2 button, room occupancy, BACnet, the web interface, and more

Energy Usage

DALION tracks accumulated energy consumption in watt-hours for each DALI lamp, calculated from the configured nominal power and the lamp’s light level over time.

  • Per-lamp accumulated energy, viewable and sortable in the web interface
  • Export or print for reporting
  • Reset counters per lamp or all at once
Energy-efficient lighting

  • Star, linear, or mixed topologies
  • Polarity-free connections for faster wiring
  • Ring topologies are not supported
